NEW DELHI: A total of 405 cricketers are set to go under the hammer on December 23 at the IPL 2023 Auction in Kochi. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced the final list of players that will be up for grabs at the mini-auction.
The initial list was of 991 players which has now been finalised with 405 players.
Out of final list, 273 are Indians and 132 are overseas players. Four of the overseas players are from associate nations.
The total capped players are 119 for this year’s auction while the uncapped players are 282, including 4 from associate nations.
England’s Ben Stokes, Cameron Green from Australia and former Punjab Kings skipper Mayank Agarwal are among the heavyweights who will be going under the hammer.
19 overseas players have chosen to be slotted in the highest bracket of INR 2 Crore includign Stokes and Green.
11 players in the auction list have a base price of INR 1.5 crore that include Mayank and former Lucknow Super Giants batter Manish Pandey.
Kolkata Knight Riders and LSG and the maximum available slots 11 and 10 respectively while Delhi Capitals have the minimum with 5.
