Only a few days remain until the premiere of Pathaan, and John Abraham, who plays the movie’s antagonist, gave a number of reasons for viewers to see it on big screens. The actor discussed Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback to the silver screen and provided a sneak peek into his Pathaan character, Jim. John also spoke about Deepika Padukone and revealed that he is ‘fond’ of her. Talking about Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback after four years, John Abraham said, “Not just the entire nation, I think the entire world is waiting to see Shah Rukh Khan on the screen again, including me.” Pathaan will release in theatres on January 25.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan is creating all the right buzz before its release. With YRF launching their spy universe with this film, characters from Tiger and War are expected to make appearances in the SRK-starrer. According to reports, Salman Khan has a cameo in the film but as per trade analyst Amul Mohan, Salman’s cameo is of around 20 minutes and is not a short appearance. When Shah Rukh Khan hosted an Instagram live to celebrate 30 years in the industry in June, the actor revealed that Salman was a part of Pathaan. Hrithik Roshan might also appear in a cameo in Pathaan as his character Kabir, from War, is also a part of the same spy universe.
Actor Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas recently celebrated the first birthday of their daughter Malti Marie. In a recent interview, the actor opened up about the days when their daughter was still in the NICU. Malti Marie was born a trimester before the due date and spent some time in the hospital before Priyanka and Nick could take her home. She also opened up about why they chose the route of surrogacy. Without going into details, Priyanka said, “I had medical complications” and that their surrogate was so generous, kind, lovely and funny, and she took care of this precious gift for them for six months.”
“Moving on, Industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s younger son Anant Ambani got engaged to his fiancée Radhika Merchant on Thursday, 19th January. The engagement party was attended by many celebrities including actors Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Sara Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Varun Dhawan, filmmakers Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali Tendulkar. Celebrity designers Gauri Khan and Sandeep Khosla were also spotted at the ceremony.
Several photos from the engagement ceremony surfaced on social media. For her engagement, Radhika wore a beige-colour lehenga and Anant was seen in a blue kurta-pyjama that he paired with a sequined jacket. The couple obliged photographers and also struck a pose with the Ambani family. “
“Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap on Thursday, 19th January spoke about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s direction to party workers about avoiding “unnecessary remarks” on films and film personalities to grab social media attention and headlines. At the trailer launch of his next film, Almost Pyar With DJ Mohabbat, in Mumbai, the director was asked about it.
Kashyap responded that “It would have made a difference if the Prime Minister had said this four years ago, I don’t think it will make any difference now. Things have gone out of hand, it’s not that anybody will listen to anyone.”” Earlier, the filmmaker had on several occasions expressed his views on the ongoing boycott Bollywood trend on social media too.”
“Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan’s hunt for a house in Mumbai has come to an end. The actor has found a new apartment in Juhu, which is owned by actor Shahid Kapoor. He used to live in the apartment until last September, after which he shifted to his new palatial duplex overlooking the Bandra-Worli sea link, along with his wife Mira Kapoor and two children.
The apartment that Shahid has rented to Kartik for Rs 7.5 lakh is spread over 3,681 sq ft on the ground floor and basement with two parking spaces in the compound. As per reports, Kartik has paid Rs 45 lakh as a security deposit, and the deal was signed between Mira and Kartik’s mother Mala Tiwari.”
Meanwhile, actor Radhika Madan said that instead of worrying about the box office performance of a film, she focuses on retaining the trust of filmmakers by upping her craft as an actor. The actor, known for movies such as Pataakha, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Angrezi Medium and most recently Kuttey, said box office returns of a movie are something that is not in her hands. The Delhi-born actor said she strives to grow every single day as a performer. The 27-year-old has an equally exciting line-up of movies that will show her in diverse avatars. She stars in Kacchey Limbu and Sanaa, as well as the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit, Soorarai Pottru, headlined by Akshay Kumar.
Lastly, Actor Ali Fazal will be seen headlining “The Underbug”. Helmed by Shujaat Saudagar, the film was shot in late 2020 and is currently in post-production. The film is touted to be a psychological thriller. The Underbug is all set to have its world premiere at the upcoming edition of the Slamdance Film Festival in Utah. Ali recently wrapped his maiden production “Girls will be Girls”, which is about the life of a 16-year-old girl in an elite boarding school in a small Himalayan town and how her rebellious coming-of-age phase is hijacked by her mother.
