NASHIK: A massive fire broke out at a poly films industry located at Igatpuri in Maharashtra‘s Nashik district on Sunday around 11am.
So far, no casualty has been reported by the district administration.
However, Nashik Civil Surgeon Ashok Thorat informed that nine people with burn injuries in the fire incident have been rushed to a private hospital in the city.
Fire tenders from Nashik Municipal Corporation and all major industries have been rushed to the spot.
Senior officials including the district collector Gangadharan D and Superintendent of Police Shahaji Umap too have gone to the fire incident spot to take stock of the situation.
Fire officials of the Nashik Municipal Corporation said that the fire is massive, and it may take a while to douse the fire.
The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
