Internationally sold as the Hyundai Accent, the first look of the production-spec Verna sedan has been revealed. The brand has already commenced the bookings of the 2023 Hyundai Verna at a token amount of Rs 25,000.
New-gen Hyundai Verna rear gets a retro futuristic cocktail
Spy shots of the 2023 Hyundai Verna show the tail-lamp design, featuring a connected LED light bar and two vertical extensions on both sides. Similar to the Hyundai Aura and Grand i10 facelift, the upcoming Verna gets a 2D iteration of Hyundai logo that is positioned above the taillight.
As seen in the spy shots, the rear bumper gets a body-coloured faux skid plate and sharp cuts and creases. We expect the India-spec Verna to get the same layout.

New-gen Hyundai Verna: Specs
Similar to the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Kia Carens, the new-gen Hyundai Verna will make use of a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, generating 160 hp power and comes paired with a six-speed manual or seven-speed DCT automatic transmission.
Other engine option will be a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine that produces 115 hp power and mated with a six-speed manual or CVT transmission. Hyundai will offer the 2023 Hyundai Creta with RDE and E20 compliant engines.
New-gen Hyundai Verna: Variants and pricing
The new-gen Verna will be offered in four trims – EX, S, SX and SX (O) variants. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine will be available in top-spec variants, while the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine will be offered in standard trims. We expect the 2023 Hyundai Verna price to cost a premium of around Rs 1 lakh over the old-gen model.
