Head below to see this week’s picks…
Need a piz-za you
This week Rosalia was an A1 pop star, wearing an A1 outfit. Amidst her Instagram photo dump was this gem of a look, and we have to dish out the details. Opting for an all black outfit, the icing on the cake was this insanely vibrant, multi-coloured faux fur sleeved jacket. Always down to turn out a *look*, she set the tone for the year to come. Rosalia’s reign is sure to continue, and in this outfit she looks every bit a queen. As crafty with her tunes as she is with her fits, we’ve come to expect nothing less.
Snow not over this
Smiling on the slopes, our candidly cool Kendall layers up for the snowy season in all black, from head to toe. With a scarf effortlessly tossed over her shoulder and ear muffs big enough to block out the haters, these winter accessories prove a must-have when horseback riding through the fresh powder. The self proclaimed tomboy is no novice when it comes to dressing for the occasion. Whether that be weddings, basketball games, painting with friends, or trudging through winter snow – Kendall looks chic both on, and off the runway.
This week our resident shy girl, Blane Muise, was a provocative princess while donning a look from the independent label Raga Malak. As dainty as a fairy in the ‘beige zida skirt’ and matching ‘beige zida top’, she takes the look over the edge with towering heeled knee-high boots. Floating sleeves and an asymmetrical hem carry the thread of the theatrical, elegant looks she graces us with over on Instagram. All in all, there’s no doubt Shygirl can rock more than just her decks.
A Goddess in Gold
Blending beauty with the brutal this week was Miss Sabrina Carpenter. In a look that was a draped dream, featuring a swooping cowl neck and gold tone panelling, she looked every bit a Greek goddess. The softness of the dress juxtaposes the harshness of the chains, offering up a picture of delicate strength. And with locks that golden, they become an accessory themselves. Waved and framing her face, they’re simply the cherry on top. How on earth can someone look that ephemeral?
This is IT
Alexa Chung has never failed to live up to her title of the ultimate ‘It Girl’. Timeless and totally chic, this look demonstrates her ability to meld the muted with the marvellous. Each element of the outfit holds its own – demanding your attention in different ways. Let’s start with the double buckled kitten heels, which are too cute to handle. A glance upwards, and the pleats are pure perfection. A chic, Parisian-esque high waist cinches the look together, while a tailored navy coat is thrown on top. In black oval sunglasses, Chung’s casual slant on an infamous London phone-box just oozes ‘too cool for school’. In a city with weather as unpredictable as Kylie Jenner’s hair colour, Chung shows off her Londoner ability to prepare for whatever the weather throws at her.
There’s no denying that Bella Hadid has her finger on the pulse when it comes to what’s hot. Constantly leading the way of fashion revolutions and resurgences, Hadid once again turned it out this week. Rocking a thick white headband (which might as well be a halo), she brings together a captivating concoction of aesthetics. The 60-esque headband blends with the coquette-esque coat, while her cargo skirt and black boots are a picture of gorpcore. Posed proudly next to her Kin Euphorics brand in a Sprouts, it seems that the hottest It Girl endeavour as of late is going into the beverage business.
