1. Hotel De Crillon

“This is one of a small number of hotels so high and mighty they create their own weather system. Which made the ragging it got when it reopened in 2016, after a four-year revamp, all the more baffling. Some scoffed that it was a facsimile of its former self, smelling of fresh paint but virtually unchanged,” says Conde Nast traveler.
Appearing in half of the reviews we used, Ritz Paris fourth-highest ranking came on The Luxury Travel Expert. “Decorated in delicate pastel hues, with exquisite woodwork, most of the 71 rooms and 71 suites have a shaded private terrace offering a view of the hotel’s magnificent French-style gardens. The names and the decor of the 15 prestige suites recall famous guests who stayed at the hotel in times past, including Marcel Proust, Coco Chanel and the Duke of Windsor. After long days spent exploring the city, guests can keep up with their exercise regimen in the indoor pool or modern gym, or indulge in the hotel spa facility.”

Travel + Leisure ranks Le Bristol Paris at number three. It’s an icon of french elegance.

Santorini Dave ranks this hotel second on his list. “Classic five-star elegance in the glamorous Golden Triangle near the Champs Elysées. Beautifully appointed guest rooms feature Louis XVI-style furnishings, and the marble courtyard is decorated with stunning floral arrangements. Three Michelin-starred restaurants, luxurious pool and spa, private terraces, Eiffel Tower views,” he says.
“With the latest three-year, 20-million-euro refitting, Paris decorator Pierre-Yves Rochon freshened the rooms, which are more sedate than the eye-popping ground-floor lobby. The lobby is one of the city’s most glamorous, with Flemish tapestries, large-format oil paintings, huge floral installations, and a parade of wealthy Russians, Ukrainians, Kazakhs, and French businesspeople and brunching grand-mères” states Afar.
