NEW DELHI: The Delhi police team on Sunday visited the residence of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in connection with a notice he received for his remark during the Bharat Jodo Yatrawhere he stated that “women are still being sexually assaulted.”
The police team headed by Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Sagar Preet Hooda arrived at Gandhi’s 12, Tughlaq Lane residence, officials said.

The police sent a questionnaire to Gandhi after taking note of his comments on social media, requesting that he provide details about any women who had approached him regarding sexual harassment. Officials confirmed that the team arrived at Gandhi’s residence at 12, Tughlaq Lane.
During the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Srinagar, Rahul Gandhi had reportedly stated, “I have heard that women are still being sexually assaulted.”
Police had asked him to give details of these victims so that security could be provided to them, the officials said.
