NEW DELHI: Two passengers were held and handed over to Patna airport police on Sunday night for creating a ruckus in inebriated condition onboard a Delhi-Patna IndiGo flight.
Confirming the arrestPatna airport SHO said that a case has been registered based on a written complaint by IndiGo’s manage. He further said that the accused would be produced before the court.
The brawl was reported on IndiGo flight number 6E-6383. The passengers were stopped by the crew from consuming alcohol, ANI reported quoting sources. The passengers later apologised for the incident, in writing, the sources said.
IndiGo had informed the ATC before landing that the two men were carrying liquor. The airline filed an official complaint with the authority concerned at Bihar’s Patna airport after landing.
Sunday’s arrest follows the recent Air India incident where businessman Shankar Mishra was arrested for urinating on an elderly woman co-passenger on a flight from New York to Delhi on November 26. A similar incident was reported on Air India’s Paris-New Delhi flight last month where a drunk passenger allegedly urinated on the blanket of a female co-passenger.
