The Indian beauty Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu who recently celebrated her 1st crowning anniversary has been an active spokesperson, advocate, and leader for menstrual equity worldwide during her year-long reign.

The universe queen has strongly advocated for women’s empowerment, particularly their constitutional rights to education, careers, and freedom of choice. In addition, the beauty queen launched a coalition for menstrual equity in India in 2022, which will reach 5 million women and girls in 200 locations by 2025 to fight against the period stigma, influence policy, and secure resources needed to end period poverty. During her term as Miss Universe 2021, the stunner visited over twenty-five cities across nine countries, has delivered over 50 speeches to spread awareness about menstrual equity, and continues to lead a conversation on a global front.
