NEW DELHI: The last over of the second day of the fourth and final India-Australia Test witnessed a hilarious moment that made the crowd and players at the Narendra Modi Stadium crazy.
Indian opener Shubman Gill danced down the track and launched Nathan Lyon over long-on for a massive six. The ball got stuck into the sight-screen that forced the proceedings to be halted as umpires first waited for someone to find the ball.

As the spectator’s effort of finding the ball seemed to have turned futile, umpires decided to bring the new ball. But hang on, the young guy was not in a mood to relent and made another attempt and this time he emerged victorious with the ball in his hand.

The onlookers at the stadium erupted in joy and even Ravi Shastri with power-packed commentary praised the guy saying ‘he has found gold’.
India finished the day at 36 for no loss, still trailing the tourists by 444 runs.

Skipper Rohit Sharma, on 17, and Shubman Gill, on 18, looked positive and attacked the Australian spinners, who bowled five of the 10 overs before close of play.
Earlier, opener Usman Khawaja hit a masterful 180 and Cameron Green struck a maiden century before Australia were bowled out for 480.
