Filippa K Brings the Heat to Copenhagen Fashion Week for FW23

[ad_1]

Scandinavian brand Filippa K kicked off Copenhagen Fashion Week with a texture-heavy Fall/Winter 2023 collection.

With outerwear as the focus, Creative director Liisa Kessler took artistic notes from the 1974 film Werner Herzog’s 1974 documentary The Great Ecstasy of Woodcarver Steinerchronicling the life of athlete Walter Steiner. The assortment of garments effortlessly deliver exciting textures designed to weather wintery storms, while offering a refreshing sense of casual confidence.

Cognac-colored patent leather trench coats sit alongside ultra-cropped motocross jackets with shearling detail of the same hue. A floor-length fuzzy ice blue coat gives off chic Yeti vibes, while a denim longline coat provides warmth with interior sherpa lining. One standout ensemble is comprised of a pale green fleece pullover paired with a soft blue balaclava and midi knit skirt.

Flowing custard yellow dresses add a necessary feminine touch to oversized plaid blazers, whereas an iridescent sheer skirt elevates a monochromatic ensemble. A dainty obsidian gossamer gown rebels against current temperatures, bringing enough sultry heat on its own.
